Carnival introduced the concept of year-round cruising out of Mobile, Alabama, in 2004. The Holiday sails four- and five-night cruises to Mexico from this port and occupancy rates are consistently over 100 percent (meaning that many cabins are holding three or four people at a time).
And the party will go on. Carnival has extended its contract with the city of Mobile for another year. So, residents of the southern U.S. will continue to have another option for a drive-to port, in addition to New Orleans, Galveston, and all the Florida ports.
If you’re looking for a quick getaway or a cruise from a nearby homeport, Carnival is accepting reservations for all 2006 and 2007 sailings aboard the Holiday.
