Carnival blisses out with new spa

Mainstream cruisers are as desperate for pampering and relaxation as their luxury-line counterparts. [% 11986 | | Carnival %] has recognized this trend, and will be launching its largest and most indulgent shipboard spa with the debut of the Carnival Splendor. In a recent contest, a Carnival cruiser chose a name for the new spa to fit its commitment to ultimate bliss—the Cloud 9 Spa.

The new spa will take up the forward portion of two decks and offer panoramic ocean views. The facility will include 17 private treatment rooms, an Asian-inspired post-treatment area, Thalassotherapy pool, thermal suite, a full gym, a beauty salon, a barbershop for men, and a separate area for teeth-whitening treatments.

In addition, 68 spa cabins and suites will have private access to the spa via an elevator. Guests vacationing in these staterooms will receive exclusive spa privileges, such as unlimited access to the spa, priority appointments scheduling, and complimentary fitness classes. These cruisers will also receive special Cloud 9 bathrobes, towels, slippers, fitness bands, yoga mats, and in-room amenities.

Sounds heavenly? I’m sure it’s all blissful until you get the final bill. Spa enthusiasts should definitely do some price checking to determine whether a spa cabin is worth the higher price. Otherwise, it might be a better value to visit the spa now and again rather than live in it for a week.
