La Isla Shopping Village
La Isla, the number one shopping mall in Cancun. It is an outdoor shopping village in the middle of the Hotel Zone – with manmade canals flowing through– it has the feel of Venice. 150 shops are nestled on the banks of the water ranging from upscale European, to tourist shops like Fiesta, offering all the souvenir’s that you can carry.
La Isla is a great place to shop for clothes, offering name brand outlet stores such as; Tommy Hilfiger, Nine West, and Guess – to name a few. Haggling is expected from the tourists – so have fun – and get the best prices.
Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, especially in the evening hours. A beautiful place to walk with several restaurants for dining and an interactive aquarium, a theater, and riverboat rides are all available inside the complex.
The Mercado 28 is a large open air flea market in downtown Cancun. Filled with local crafts and souvenir’s –making it the one stop tourist Mecca in Cancun. They sell it all, from postcards to kitchen-ware. They accept pesos and American dollars. Be sure to have your haggling skills ready to get the best deal.
Kukulcán Plaza is Cancun’s newest, and largest shopping mall filled with International Brand Boutiques such as; Cartier, Swatch, Hugo Boss, Polo, Harley Davidson, and Givenchy. Boasting over 300 stores – Kukulcán also has inviting restaurants, a movie theater, and a bowling alley. Don’t want to spend – it’s a beautiful mall for browsing.
