Take it from me, people with the name Patricia are a lucky bunch! Those with this awesome name may enter the Mexico Tourism Board’s new “Welcome Patricias” sweepstakes for a chance to win an all-expense-paid trip for two to Mexico.
Patricias can also be even-keeled forces as was evidenced when Hurricane Patricia shored on Mexico’s Pacific Coast on October 23. Due to locals’ preparedness and proactive evacuations, the Category 5 storm—the strongest ever recorded in the Western Hemisphere—caused little damage despite its 200-mph winds and massive rainfalls.
To prove that there’s no remnant hostility toward Patricias, the Mexico Tourism Board’s cleverly titled “Welcome Patricias” sweepstakes is giving away to one lucky person named Patricia, plus her travel companion, an all-expense-paid vacation to the Vallarta-Nayarit-Manzanillo area.
Calling all Patricias: upload a photo or video of yourself excitedly looking forward to a tropical trip (think colorful cocktail in hand, donning snorkel gear, wearing a bathing suit, etc.) at the WelcomePatricias sweepstakes page or at Instagram or Twitter with hashtags #WelcomePatricias#Sweepstakes.
Not named “Patricia”? Surely there’s at least one of these lucky ladies in your circles—and who knows, maybe she’ll choose you as her plus one.
Sweepstakes entrants must be legally named Patricia, be 18 years of age or older, a resident of the United States or Canada (sorry, Quebecois, this promotion isn’t valid in your province), and enter by December 31, 2015. See the Mexico Tourism Board’s WelcomePatricias site for more details and to enter.
Patricia Magaña will visit the beautiful coastal town of Manzanillo later this month. Follow her on Instagram @PatiTravels for scenes of the gorgeous “Sailfish Capital of the World.” And don’t forget to forward this amazing sweepstakes opportunity to all Patricias in your life.
