Whether you travel by bus, taxi, train or air, here are a few tips to help you get to and around Calapan.

Supercat

If you are headed over to Calapan City from Batangas, you can enjoy the super-fast ferry service of Supercat. This ferry will get you to the Calapan Pier in just over an hour and twenty minutes and surrounded in luxury.

RORO Ships

Whether you want to take your own personal vehicle along or just enjoy a slower trip to take in the beauty, then choosing a RORO, roll-on roll-off, ship is the perfect choice for getting to Calapan.  Accessible through the Batangas Port, it does take longer to get to the coastal community, with a travel time of about two hours and forty minutes on a good day.

Tricycle 

Once you arrive at the Calapan Port,  you can rent a tricycle. These motorized bikes are everywhere and are available to rent either to take you from the pier to the city proper or from the city back to the pier. Beware of excessive charges on your way from the pier into the city, however. The price is notoriously higher.

Bus, Van or Jeepneys

Bus, van and jeepney services are common modes of transportation for traveling throughout Calapan and to popular tourist attractions nearby. The only downside, these vehicles won’t depart until they are completely full. However, they are connected to places like San Jose, Roxas and Puerto Galera. During the heat of the summer, you will be more than happy to choose one of these air-conditioned options.

No matter which option you choose, there are plenty of choices for Calapan transportation that will ensure you enjoy the sights of the city known as the Gateway to the Golden Isle.
