Cabo San Lucas is a city in the southern part of Baja California Sur, Mexico that’s known for its beaches, nightlife, and shopping. Take a look at some of the most notable attractions that you should definitely check out during your visit to Cabo San Lucas.
If you’re traveling to Cabo San Lucas, you definitely don’t want to miss the beaches. The main beach in Cabo San Lucas in Medano Beach. This popular beach is where both tourists and locals go to enjoy the sun, sand, and surf, so if you’re looking for activity and want to be around other people, Medano Beach is the place to be. Check out the vendors along the beach, grab a meal in one of the many restaurants, and watch or take part in one of the activities, like beach dancing, taking place in front of the various business.
For a different kind of beach experience, take the water taxi from the marina to Playa Del Amor, or Love Beach. This pristine patch of shore is surrounded on one side by sea and on the other side by towering rock. The view from the shore is stunning.
If there’s a natural feature that Cabo San Lucas is best known for, it’s The Arch. The Arch is a rock formation that forms a natural arch. It and the other nearby rock formations are together known as Land’s End. It is in this area that the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean meet each other.
You can reach The Arch by boat. There are many boats that go out that way. You can take a glass-bottomed boat, which will give you the chance to watch the fish underneath the water while you make your way to and from The Arch. There are whale watching tour boats that also pass that way. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could also rent a kayak and paddle out to the Land’s End area yourself. When you get close to The Arch, look for the colony of sea lions that live near the rock formation.
If you want to experience Cabo San Lucas in a truly unique way, then you should consider taking an ATV tour of the area. Your ATV tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and outfit you with helmets, goggles, bandannas, and of course, and ATV. Even if you’re a beginner, you can pick up the skills to ride an ATV quickly – just ask your guide to start slowly.
On your ATV tour, you’ll drive through desert areas and beach areas, checking out local landmarks, flora, and fauna. You’ll make stops during the tour so that you can get off your ATV, explore the area, and take plenty of pictures before moving on to the next leg of the tour. Definitely an exciting and informative way to spend the day.
