Cable Car to Uludag
As the fourth most highly populated city in Turkey, Bursa makes for an excellent stop on any sightseeing trip to the country. Here are some reliable methods of getting around this fascinating city: from its farthest points to its tallest mountains.
There are quite a few companies running buses to and from Bursa. Some of the more well known are Nilüfer, Kamil Koc, Ulusoy, Varan and Metro Turizm. Nilüfer in particular is very pleasant, with a host on board serving beverages and some snacks. Bursa's long distance bus station is located quite a bit outside town, along the Yalova road, but there are local buses going into Bursa city centre. There is also a metro line which forks into two lines from the west, as well as two tram lines to complement the vast bus system.
For a single trip from Istanbul to Güzelyalý on the speedy sea cat ferry, it costs around 21 Turkish lira. It takes just under two hours for the trip, and is very smooth. Taking the SeaBus from Yenikapi, you can reach Bursa in 1.5 hours. Seabus is far and away the fastest way of reaching Bursa from Istanbul.
Uludag is a mountain resort in Bursa, with a Teleferic line that climbs to the top from the city center. There are two phases to the trip: first from Teferrüc to Bakacak, then from Bakacak to Sarialan. From there, you can take the smaller telecabins to get further up the mountain.
