Bucharest Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Bucharest Nightlife

Bucharest is a large city and has all the nightlife you would expect to find in a city of substantial size including, local pubs, intimate fashionable bars for a relaxing drink, fine restaurants, nightclubs, live music clubs, dance clubs, and massage parlors.

Pubs and Bars

Romanians are attractive and they like to have fun. The local bars and pubs are places to hang out with friends, have drinks, and relax. Tourists are welcome and you can make friends easily. One nice, Irish-style pub to visit is called “The Harp.” Another popular hang out in Old Town is Freddo Bar. In the Lipscani area, look for the Old City Bar that is a favorite with the locals. Club A at Str. Blãnari 14 is a place that students go to enjoy cheap drinks and party with friends. Visitors like Club Piranha in the Regie area for an afternoon drink because it has a nice outside area with a fish pond that is very relaxing in the summertime

Upscale Fashionable Bars

If you go out on a date, after having a fine meal, visit the upscale, fashionable bars for an intimate romantic setting to have some cocktails, such as the Victoria Bar located inside the Grand Hotel Continental.

Salt Restaurant at Parc is a fine lakeside restaurant during the daytime and a fashionable club in the evenings for the rich and famous and others who can afford the high prices. You need to dress to impress to go to this club. There are tables where the water flows beneath the glass floor and there is a nice pool.

Restaurants

Bucharest is a cosmopolitan city. Restaurants that serve dishes from every part of the world (too many to list here) are available for all of your desired culinary adventures.

Nightclubs

Revenge is a small dance club with great drink prices (about 1.5 Euros for a long drink). Every night of the week there is a party going on at Revenge and always a fun crowd. It is very relaxed with no formal dress code (jeans and sneakers are OK).

Live Music Clubs

You will find several blocks of bars and clubs in the Old Town area of Bucharest that offer live music. The Mojo Club at 14 Gabroveni St. is a popular live music venue that is similar in style to a British bar. The Peasant’s Museum Cub has live music and tango dancing.

Dance Clubs

The scene for dance clubs is constantly changing. Just ask any of the young people you meet in the local bars to tell you the hottest dance clubs of the moment.
