Boracay Island – What to Pack – Clothing and Supplies Tips

Boracay Island What to Pack

In order to enjoy your Boracay Island vacation to the fullest, you need to know what to pack. Here are a few tips on what to put in your suitcase.

Luggage

No matter what you have planned for your Boracay Island adventure, these luggage options are ideal for a short or long-term stay.

Pack the Sunblock

Make sure to toss in a bottle of sunblock before you go. Yes, you can put a small container into your carry on, but it is better to pack a big bottle in your actual luggage. Sure, you can purchase it on the island if you forget, but it will be extremely expensive. Plus, this is something that, when the trip is done, you don’t need to bring back with you, which helps save space for souvenirs. But with the amount of time you’ll spend outside and the extreme sunlight conditions your skin is exposed to in Boracay Island, this is a must pack.

Waterproof Phone (or Case)

The water is incredibly clear here. With so much to see under water you’ll wish you had a way to capture your underwater adventure. You can pick up some disposable underwater cameras on the island, but again, these are expensive and not that great. There are better options available for you. If you have a larger DSL camera, you can actually purchase a waterproof case that allows you to still control the camera settings from the outside (make sure to read up on the reviews before purchasing to ensure it works). GoPro cameras are great for this (as are many of the less-expensive alternatives). If you just want to take your cell phone there are cheap waterproof bag-like options that work well.

Waterproof Bag

Just about everything you’ll be doing on the island revolves somewhat around water. Bring a waterproof bag so you can toss in the items you want to protect. Whether this is your wallet or keys, it is a great option to have.

Over-the-Counter Medications

Bring your pain relievers, stomach relief, or anything else you might need. You can probably find it available on the island, but it will be incredibly expensive. It is just easier to pack the travel-size options. This way you can take your medication and go.
