If you enjoy jazz, wine, and affordable entrees, this is the place for you. Rosa Rose is a great restaurant for pre-dinner drinks and appetizers. Via del Pratello is in the city center and is lined with bars, clubs, shops, and pubs. Near the San Francesco church, it’s a frequent hangout for university students.

Theatres

Bologna has many theatres and cinemas. Opera is serious in Bologna, so if you’re in the mood for a cultural experience, book a show. Make you sure you do so well in advance, as operas sell out quickly in this area of the world. Cinemas are prevalent in the city, especially near campus. The university students also put on several performances throughout the year, so check the university’s website for information on showtimes and dates.
