Family Fun at Pleasure Beach
Pleasure Beach is the most visited theme park in the UK. It features a wooden coaster and over 120 other rides, a Nickelodeon Land for small children and plenty of shows and eateries. You will also find a theater, which is an ideal place to get cool on hot days and to rest your feet. Take in a game of golf, skate in the ice arena or spend the afternoon bowling. Older individuals can try their luck in the casino. It does cost money to get into the park, whether you ride anything or not.
Stroll Along the Promenade
One of the most popular past times is to walk along the promenade by the beach. There are three different piers located along the north, central and south portions of the boardwalk. There are theaters, restaurants, bars, carnivals, arcades and shops for souvenirs.
Enjoy the Wildlife
There are plenty of spots to enjoy the wildlife from the region. Located near Stanley Park, there is a small zoo with giraffes, zebras and over 1,500 animals that call the place home. The zoo is well laid out and easy to traverse. The Sea Life Center has one of the largest shark displays in Europe. You can walk through the shark tank tunnel have several species of sharks all around you. There are over 2,000 other animals in over 50 displays. There is also a rock pool where you can reach out and touch some of the animals if you are brave.
