A Bit of France in North America

Author: mary attick
Date of Trip: May 2015

Who knew that there was a small island off the coast of Canada that is actually a region of France. The euro is the currency, French is the language and Superb are the food and wine!!

We just returned from a few days visiting St Pierre Miquelon and were very pleasantly surprised. After a 45 minute flight from St. John’s Newfoundland, we spent three days taking long beautiful walks along the coast and into the hills and visiting some lighthouses.

The accommodations are world class and the restaurants have wonderful creative menus. If you enjoy visiting places that are not touristy and off the beaten path, this is a great option! Bonne journee!!
