For any traveler or tourist in northern Spain, Bilbao makes for an excellent place to visit. With its numerous bars, clubs and public events, its an even better place to visit at night.

Pub Witch is an excellent place to get some drinks, cocktails and great music. The people working there are very very helpful; so helpful, you can use it as a tourist info office. El HueroBarria is a bar nearby San Mames Stadium that makes for an ideal spot to have a pre or post match drink, and it's usually full of friendly football fans. Another great bar near the stadium is the Bar Aliron, full of character with old photos of Athletic Club matches and teams of the past.

Bullit Groove Club is decorated in bright orange colours, offering a wide variety of activities. Different events on the weekends incorporate Jamaican music, indie pop-rock, jazz, soul, funk, Latin music and Brazilian tunes. The Cotton Club on CalleGregorio de la Revilla is another excellent dancing spot, with live house music. For something a little different, the Cache Latino offers Salsa dancing sessions with beautiful Spanish women.

In Bilbao, there are lots of different areas where you can enjoy yourself while having a good time with your friends. Some streets and roads are always clogged with people, such as LicenciadoPoza or Somera Street. These area are always crowded when the sports teams play in San Mames, and spontaneous parties often break out with all the happy fans.
