Benidorm Nightlife

Benidorm, Spain, qualifies as one of the top areas for nightlife in all of Europe. People come from all over the world to enjoy the thousands of things to do in Benidorm, which are designed to have the most fun possible.

Nightlife Areas

The main areas for nightlife in Benidorm are the “strip” of Levante Beach Boulevard which goes down the beach, “The Square” around Avenida Mallorca, Old Town Benidorm, and the huge dance clubs on the main road just outside of Benidorm that goes towards the city of Valencia.

LGBT Friendly

The gay scene in Benidorm is very vibrant and inclusive. Spanish people are very accepting of LGBT people and all are welcome regardless of sexual orientation to go to any nightclub in Benidorm. For both gay and straight people who enjoy dancing, the gay clubs have the best music and the drag shows in the smaller clubs are spectacular. There are many gay bars and places for “tapas” (snacks) in the Old Town Benidorm area.

Bars

One of the nicest places to hang out for a casual drink during the afternoon or evening is the KU Lounge Bar located on Avenida d’ Alcoy at Levante Beach.

Buddie’s Bar is a family friendly pub with not much specifically for kids to do; however, they are welcome to hang out with their parents. Buddie’s offers line-dancing, sing-a-longs, bingo games, and cabaret shows.

Rocky’s is an excellent sports bar with big screen televisions and a pool table that offers karaoke at night. If you like country and western music, try the Red Dog Saloon.

Show Clubs

Arenas on Levante Beach Boulevard has live music during the daytime for an older crowd and drag shows at night. Rock Star is in the same area and offers live rock bands every night and on the weekends until 6 a.m. Word and Music is a nice cabaret-style club featuring all kinds of live performances. Chaplin’s is a dance club with shows and it is less frenetic than other clubs.

Dance Clubs

Bahamas is a big dance club. The reviews from visitors are either very favorable or a warning to stay away. Women complain of being molested and having their bra unclipped by men using pliers. Some complain the drinks are expensive and the bouncers offensive. Jokers is a big dance club that has a nice outdoor terrace garden. It is open every day during summer until 8:30 a.m.; however, only on weekends during the off-season.

The Hippodrome Disco is a very popular dance club that is located amongst many on the “strip” that passes by Levante Beach. The dance clubs on the strip do not charge a cover and the drink prices are very good.

KM Disco Garden is not to be missed. It is a summertime sensation, which is a combination of a huge disco and an amusement park. If you want to have a lot of fun and meet many new young people this is the place to go.
