Atlanta gets its own CityPass

CityPass, a discounted ticket bundle for select cities, will be available in Atlanta starting on September 6. It covers entry into six of eight available attractions and is good for nine days after first use. My hunch is it’s the new and very popular Georgia Aquarium that put Atlanta on the CityPass map. In fact, the biggest benefit of an Atlanta CityPass may be the automatic entry to the aquarium that allows you to bypass the time-reservation entry system.

Other attractions covered by the pass are the High Museum of Art, Inside CNN Atlanta Studio Tours, the World of Coca-Cola, the Atlanta Botanical Garden or the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, and Zoo Atlanta or the Atlanta History Center.

As always, the question with bundled tickets is: Is it worth it? If you’re planning on hitting these attractions anyway, you’ll certainly save; but if you’re only planning on going to one or two of them, it’s better to buy tickets individually. The CityPass is $59 for adults and $45 for children 3 to 12.
