    Ray LaHood, Secretary of the Department of Transportation (DOT), has agreed to answer a few questions from SmarterTravel readers. Please send your questions by midnight Thursday, June 3. I'll select a handful of questions to be included with my own, and the questions and answers will be published in a later article.

    Readers, this is your chance to get answers or insight into your most pressing travel queries. Concerned about fare transparency, or excessive fees? Ask the Secretary what he plans to do about it. Tired of delays? Find out if there's a plan. Of course, I can't guarantee you'll like the answers, or that Mr. LaHood will have a satisfactorily concrete response, but this is a rare opportunity to put a question in front of someone with real influence.
