Located along the Mediterranean Coast, Antalya is one of the hubs of what is often called the Turkish Riviera, and it is the largest city along the Turkish Mediterranean Coast. Antalya can appeal to a variety of travelers, and there are many historical ruins you can visit as well. Outdoor activities will be more bearable in April or any time other than summer, and Spring is one of the best times to visit.

Air Travel

Antalya’s airport is 10km from the city, and it serves both airline and charter flights that go to and from many different parts of Europe. You can get a flight from Ankara or Istanbul through Turkish Airways, and Aeroflot runs daily flights to and from Moscow. Once you arrive, you can get a taxi to the city, but the cost may set you back. There are cheaper options, and they can keep you from falling for a scam.

The Bus and Train System

Turkey has a vast network of buses, so you can get to just about anywhere. And you can get to it no matter where you are. The nearest train station is in Burdur, which is 212km north of Antalya. And while there are no longer routes running directly from Istanbul, you can still get a ticket to Dinar Station and catch a bus to Burdur. From there, you can get on a bus straight to Antalya, and it will take about an hour and a half to get there.Whether you’re fond of history or just want to soak in some sun, Antalya has a lot to offer a variety of travelers. While the city is rich in history, it has a lot of other things that you’re free to experience.
