Beginning this fall, American will launch flights from its Los Angeles hub to four new destinations, bringing to 53 the number of airports served from LAX.
The new destinations and start dates are as follows:
- Edmonton, Alberta, from October 2
- San Antonio, from October 2
- Vancouver, British Columbia, from October 2
- Tampa, Florida, from November 6
The flights to Edmonton, San Antonio, and Vancouver will be operated by US Airways Express, with two-class Bombadier CRJ-900s. The Tampa flights will be operated by American with a two-class Boeing 737-800.
There’s no word yet on whether bonus miles will be on offer on any of the four routes, but frequent-flyer promotions are a staple of new service launches so there’s a good chance mileage incentives are in the pipeline.
The new flights are available for booking now.
