The Alisuper is a large supermarket, and full of both local and imported produce, meats, cheeses and alcoholic beverages. You can find snacks, desserts, and regional specialties. There’s also a smaller supermarket in Alvor called Orange. Travelers seem to prefer the Alisuper based on its selection and prices, but you can get your shopping done at Orange if it’s closer to you. Or shop at the local market. This is where many home cooks shop and is a good ways to support local farmers, and find a good deal.
