Almeria is located on the Mediterranean coast of Spain and has attracted some of the biggest celebrity names. It’s a popular tourist attraction and travelers have multiple transportation options such as the bus and train.

Bus

This is excellent for people who love to shop. There are multiple bus drivers that take passengers to several different locations and their bus schedules are posted. The service is dependable and the cost is cheap.

You can also do organized bus trips which travel to Granada and Sierra Nevada. Bookings are available through the hotels.

Car Service

The most painless way to get around is by hiring a car service. You won’t have to worry about a map or a GPS, and you can actually enjoy your vacation. Some of the local transportation is insufficient and the railway only travels to long distances.

Car Rental

Although this isn’t as painless as hiring a car service, you can sight-see at your free will. You’re not limited to a bus schedule. This is fantastic if you’re planning to visit Parque Natural Cabo de Gata which is a nature park. Drive carefully, there are streets that are extremely narrow.

Taking the Train to Almeria

While the train service is not that convenient, the routes offer incredible scenery. You can take the train from Madrid Charmatin which leaves twice per day. A train leaves in the morning at 8:19 and another train leaves in the afternoon at 2:53. Expect the train ride to last for 6 hours. On the up side, you get complimentary headsets to watch TV shows and movies while you’re headed to your destination.
