A famous product of Alghero, red coral jewelry can be found all over the old town. The red coral is found just off the coast of Sardinia and is made into all types of jewelry and is even hung in huge decorative bundles. Take your time and browse the different shops before buying as prices can vary dramatically from shop to shop. There is also a great deal of Turquoise jewelry in the town, which is cheaper than the red coral pieces. Most of the pieces are set in gold so depending on what you choose, it could be costly.

Conad Superstore

Conad Superstore is the largest supermarket in Alghero. Provisions ranging from drinks and snacks to batteries, toiletries, and sunscreen. You will be able to find anything you need for the hotel room or trips to the beach at the superstore.

Euro Spin

This is an inexpensive shop similar to an Aldi and is located right next to the McDonalds. There are signs posted all over town to help you find the store and the best items to buy sandwiches, snacks, and alcohol.

Scarpe Scarpe

This is a great store to find genuine Italian shoes at a bargain. Shoes in this store start at EU 20 and up. The shop is located in the new town area and is right across from the aquarium.
