Because of the high international student population there are an abundance of places that cater to this global community. One of the oldest bars in the city-aging but always lively and busy in the evening is the Domkeller. They have tables outside overlooking the HOF square and the dome, a lovely meeting point to start out the night. Moving though the lively streets, many of the bars offer live music or EDM for those who love EuroPop. Dance the night away at Nox and Club Nightlife. Most of the bars and clubs are open until 2am but if you want afterhours on the weekend, end your evening at the Last Exit which closes when the last patron stumbles home.

Aachen at night is a visual delight with its stunning architectural mix of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque to modern classics, many of them with feature lighting and open to the public.
