Pros: Hyberbole aside, these shoes are as close to an ideal travel flat as you can get. At 5.8 ounces, they’re incredibly light. They’re attractive, with pleasing but simple details like a criss-crossed ballet-style ribbon detail on the heel. And best of all, they’re basically sneakers in disguise, with the same cushioning you’ll find in New Balance running shoes.

Cons: Someday they will wear out.

• Usefulness: 10/10 It’s rare to find an option that delivers on the travel shoe trifecta of style, comfort, and weight, but these do it.
• Value: 7/10. At $109 a pair, they’re similar in price to far less comfortable options. 
• Durability: 10/10. The leather shoe feels well made. It has all sorts of useful features like a lining that manages moisture and something called a “stability shank” that supports the arch.
• Cool Factor: 10/10. Not limping after a long day sightseeing? Cool. Easily adaptable to day and night? Very cool, particularly when you’re trying to pack light.

Final Verdict: These are quite possibly the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn. They’ve got enough personality to be interesting, and can be easily dressed up or down. The sole is sturdy and the shoe remains comfortable and supportive even after a lot of walking.

In addition to the REVchi flat, Cobb Hill makes a variety of different women’s shoes—including sandals, heels, boots—all with an attractive comfort focus.
