A World Apart…Yet United (China)

Author: noriene
Date of Trip: March 2010

My trip to China last year was awsome. Six students along with to adult males from my school headed to China to experience the culture, and its people. The students were studying world history and what better way to absorb the interment details other than traveling there.

Our first destination was to Shanghai. We landed around mid-day and boarded an awaiting bus to our hotel for the evening.

The following day, we arose early to eat breakfast, purchase souvenirs, and the like. We took photos with the locals who were very gracious and excited to see us.

We left the hotel around 9:00a.m. and headed to Beiging and Xian to vist a welcoming family. They served us lunch of rice, vegitables and fish. Wow!

Other places of interest were: Tian An Men Square Palace Museum Temple of Heaven Great Wall of China-A place not to be missed An opera/Dinner in Xian Bird’s Nest Middle School The experiences and the people we met while there will never be forgotten.
