First Vacation Ever!

Author: Serena
Date of Trip: March 2015

I got a trip for my birthday (which happened to be last year but the trip was this year) me and my sister (she’s the one who paid for it) went first to Portland, Oregon where we spent 2 days wondering the streets and eating at food carts we stayed at Monaco Hotel which has very comfy beds and a great location in Portland then we took a Amtrak bus to Cannon Beach, Oregon where we visited Haystack Rock several times a day and walked around but we mostly visited the beach I was surprised to see some of the things that I have in my state like Kona Coffee, Mango, and Macadamia Nuts.

We headed back to Portland after a few days then took a Amtrak train to Lacey/Olympia where we stayed in a budget hotel in Lacey we took public transportation in every place we stayed we even visited Tacoma, when we were coming back from Tacoma I managed to get a very great picture of Mt. Rainier (Yay!) after a few days in Lacey we were then off to Seattle we stayed at the Green Tortoise Hostels (hostels aren’t as bad as you think they are)we visited Pike Place, Aquarium, the zoo, North Seattle, walked all over downtown even walked up to Kerry Park (by the way has one of the best views of Seattle and the Puget sound)

I also took a little side trip by myself and visited the Firefighters Memorial in Occidental Park (yes I went by myself it isn’t a scary as they make it out to be) I also visited the library made out of glass, and Columbia Tower (which also has one of the best views of Seattle) there are some things I wish I had the money to do there but we were on a budget yet we managed to make the most out of it and had a great time. I miss it so much I am already planning my next trip, earning/saving money for it I have so many places I want to go to and so many things I need to get for my next trip I know one day I’ll be able to do it all again.
