The Brafferton Inn located at 44 York Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325, (717)337-3423 or (866)337-3423. The Brafferton Inn built in 1786 is a fieldstone house located in the middle of the historic district in Gettysburg, PA. Original art adorns the parlor by master historical artist Keith Rocco. One can almost hear the battle being played out as you sip tea and coffee in the afternoon gazing at the beautiful paintings. The Inn’s location makes it perfect for getting around Gettysburg. One is able to view everything Gettysburg has to offer from battlefields, antique shops, and ghost tours to great restaurants and of course one of the top rated liberal arts colleges.
Every morning is a treat being served a wonderful breakfast by the owners. We are always pleasantly surprised everytime. They use the freshest local ingredients and it certainly is the best breakfast in town.
Each room in the Inn is truly unique. The owners attention to detail is wonderful. We began staying at the Brafferton when my daughter visited Gettysburg College for the first time. The Brafferton definitely gave us a warm comfortable feeling and my daughter knew she had found the right college. We return always to the Brafferton each year for Family weekend. We will book in for her graduation and it will be bittersweet to bid farewell not only to Gettysburg College but to the Brafferton as well.
