Weymouth Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys & Inside Tips

Weymouth Shopping

This bustling harbor town is loved by local and tourists looking to relax on the beautiful beaches. A thriving commercial area makes shopping in Weymouth a good day out, good value, and fun!

High Street Happiness

In the center of town around the Esplanade, St. Mary Street, St. Thomas Street and Bond Street you will find splendid shopping for everything you desire. Chain favorites includes Marks and Spencer, TK Max, Peacocks, Debenhams, Poundland and Animal await you, as do unique boutiques, supermarkets and unusual surprises. Be sure to shop bakeries and sandwich shops for picnic treats for your day on the beach.

Cove Gallery

This small attractive commercial art gallery on the edge of the old harbor showcases the work of local Dorset artists. Here you can find original prints, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics and glassware. It’s a very relaxed place and you are welcome to browse as long as you’d like. You will find very good value for money given that everything is handcrafted and created by artists. Many of the goods have an ocean or maritime theme, but none of it is tourist-kitsch that you will find in tacky souvenir shops.

Brewers Quay

Convenient and close to the waterfront, be sure to visit the enclosed Brewers Quay complex in Weymouth. It contains 20 unique, charming shops that sell clothes, textiles, art, food and other specialty items. There are plenty of ideas for presents to buy for loved ones back home, and be sure to try the traditional sticks of ‘Weymouth Rock’. Find here, too fun and funky postcards, classy souvenirs and a comfy, funky hat.
