Malta Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys & Inside Tips

Malta Shopping

Surrounded by old stone architecture and scattered umbrellas for shade, you’ll love shopping throughout the beautiful city of Malta. Here are some recommendations from previous visitors on Malta shopping, including shops, stores, best buys and inside tips!

Luggage Store

This shop has a wide selection of travelling luggage and is likely the largest store of its kind. The salesmen were very nice, however be wary of the warranties on items you purchase, and ask the salesmen for confirmation of their assistance should the warranty be needed. Previous customers have had difficulty getting their luggage fixed or replaced, even though their purchases claimed to have warranties on them.

Gift Shop

Casa Castelletti Gallery deals mainly in gifts and souvenirs but also has the following: Decorative Maltese Folk Arts & Crafts, Victorian and Modern Paintings and Prints,

Glass and Ceramics, Sculpture, and Bric-á-brac. If you’re looking for crafts, gifts, or souvenirs this is the place to go. As this is a tourist destination, prices can be expected to be a little bit more expensive.

Open Air Market

The capital’s open-air market is located at the foothill of the Citadel, not far from the Central Bus Station at Victoria (also known as Rabat) in Gozo Island. Many of the city’s shops are located around this area which is also the main shopping district of the city. You’ll find a wide range of items that are on sale at the open-air markets such as small and cheap souvenirs, clothing and textiles, stationery, handbags and travelling bags, belts, toys, CDs and DVDs etc. Prices are very competitive at the open-air markets!
