Cairo Belly Dance and Other Nightlife

Nightlife in Cairo Belly Dance

When in Cairo, a belly dancing show is something that cannot be missed.

Restaurants

In some restaurants, belly dancers are something that comes with the menu as part of a regular show for tourists. Usually, this type of belly dancing is not in the same class as truly authentic belly dancing show.

Hotels

There are three famous belly dancers in Egypt – Dina, Fifi Abdu and Lucy. They only perform at 5 star hotels, either the Nile Hilton, Cairo Sheriton or Ramses Hilton. Schedules can change, so check with the hotel before going. No jeans are allowed and a tie is required for men, cocktail gowns for women.

Dinner Cruise

Take a cruise down the Nile with dinner and a show. As you travel down the Nile, a traditional belly dancing troupe begins the show with drums, flutes and finger cymbals. There are several cruise ships that offer this type of entertainment, with beautiful, entertaining and talented dancers. Pharaoh is a particularly opulent ship that’s entirely gold-plated. You might not remember if the food was good or not, but you’ll certainly be entertained. Casual dress is permitted on the cruises, but if you want to get dressed up, this is the place to do it.

Casinos

There are many casinos with belly dancers shows, mainly on Al Haram Street. They’re open from 3 am until 12 pm the following day.
