Puerto Vallarta Nightlife
Whether you’re looking for a bar with a pounding bass beat, a live-music venue, or a gay-friendly club, there’s a place in Puerto Vallarta to meet everyone’s nightlife needs.
Old Town and Downtown Dance Bars
Old Town and Downtown are tourist-frequented areas by the beach where many visitors stay; the drinks, food, and cover prices are higher, although these clubs do attract locals as well. The clubs here tend to be loud and casual in warehouses or similar spaces, and the age of the revelers is around the under-30 crowd. Popular events include dancing in cages at The Zoo and the dance floor at Carlos O’Brians.
Puerto Vallarta is a hub for gay nightlife as well. Warm, welcoming, and gay-friendly bars include La Noche, Blondie’s Loft, La Reina’s Bar, or Apache’s Martinis and Cocktails. These are welcoming, inclusive places to hear good music relax, drink, and make new friends.
For live music entertainment to Nacho Daddy, where acts range from swing to blues. Another spot called No Way Jose serves up Mexican music nightly, and Club Roxy has blues, rock, and R&B. These are bars where casual dress is fine, and in all three there’s space to dance or simply enjoy a cocktail with friends. The atmosphere in these bars revolves around the music. The crowd is mature and tends to be over 30.
