Kentucky Horse Park Lexington: Love horses? This is the place to visit for you! The park is home to a museum that often offers special exhibits. You can also catch a horse show or see retired champion race horses or rare breeds.

Kentucky Derby Museum: Churchill Downs is one of the most famous locations in Kentucky, the museum and tour allows guests to get a glimpse into a day in the life at the track and pays tribute to some of the greatest race horses to ever run.

Civil War Museum: The museum houses a large collection of Civil War uniforms and artifacts from the war.

Confederate Monument: The monument was erected in 1895 to honor Confederate soldiers killed during the Civil War. The monument is made of granite, it stands 70 feet tall and features three bronze figures of an artilleryman, a cavalryman, and an infantryman.

Civil War Reenactments: The Battle of Perryville is commemorated each year on the weekend closest to October 6th. The battle was the largest fought in Kentucky during the civil war and it took place on October 8, 1862. More than 7,500 Union and Confederate troops were wounded or killed in this battle. The reenactment is held annually on the original battlefield.
