Head to Berlin's famous Brandenburg Gate to celebrate the arrival of 2008. More than one million people come downtown for the fireworks, party tents, and performances by famous DJs and live bands, making it one of Europe's largest open-air New Year's events. The party stretches two kilometers (approximately 1.2 miles) from the Gate down to the Victory Column, with plenty of fun diversions along the way. Admission is free.
