Sleep in an Airstream at These Glamping Resorts

After the first model—ambitiously christenedThe Torpedo—launched in 1931, Airstream campers have carved their place into the history of the American outdoors. Although the company continues to launch new models annually, vintage campers are sought after for their durability, longevity, and old-school kitsch.
Luckily, you don't have to hitch a trailer to the family car and join a caravan anymore to have the authentic Airstream experience. Airstream glamping resorts have popped up across the U.S. and beyond. These seven “glampgrounds” offer guests the iconic Airstream camping experience with modern luxuries to match.

Autocamp is the most prolific glamping resort company in the United States. Beginning in Santa Barbara in 2013, Autocamp has grown to include multiple locations in California, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and Utah. Playfully described as "views with a room," these campers are all under a half-hour from famous outdoor landmarks and are situated directly within the scenery travelers come to admire. No matter where you are, the properties include shared outdoor spaces, pools, and free Wi-Fi. The trailers themselves come with streamlined, updated interiors and private bathrooms complete with showers.
Progress Park Glamping features some of the chicest trailers in the game, with white subway-tiled kitchens, full appliances, and complete bathrooms set on lots with private hammocks and patio areas. The campers sleep two to six adults and each come with an individual name, like The Dotti or The Stella. The campground prides itself on "all-inclusive glamping," with grounds offering lawn games, fire pits, grills, a playground, and a lake for kayaking, paddleboarding, and canoeing.
The Venice Airstream Park is just a thirty-minute boat ride away from the winding passages and waterways of Venice, Italy. The six available campers sleep up to four people each and come with fully equipped kitchens and a covered sitting area. The park is also walking distance to a sandy stretch of Mediterranean beach.
Thirty-four expertly restored vintage Airstreams live on The Vintage Trailer Resort lot in Dayton, Oregon. The trailers range in age from the late 1940s to 1999. While there are no bathrooms in the campers, the communal bathhouse is clean and upscale. The property also offers a shared fire pit, outdoor pool, clubhouse, and pet area.
The Belrepayre Retro Trailer Park is a slice of Americana in the French mountains. Marketed as a "live-in museum," the property has twelve refurbished vintage Airstreams from the 1940s through the 1980s. Communal amenities include a "spa" area with a jetted cedar tub overlooking the mountainous landscape and a general store. There is also a food truck onsite, customized to look straight out of a 1950s magazine, and an Airstream bar.
Gather up your friends—in order to stay in one of these Airstreams, you'll have to rent the entire ranch ! Perfect for a wedding or family reunion, this campground includes a pavilion, a dining barn, a bathhouse, outdoor showers, a pool, a cooking tent, and a shared fire pit. The airstreams themselves don't have running water, but they all have mini-fridges and reading lights.
