Were six flyers kicked off of a Spirit flight for speaking in Russian, or for being too loud? The flyers claim that they were booted off a flight to Las Vegas last week simply for talking amongst themselves in their native language. The airline claims that they were being too loud.
ABC 10 News reports that the six passengers allege that less than 10 minutes after boarding a flight to Las Vegas, an airline worker came up to the group and said, “This row needs to get up and leave now.” The flyers claim that they never received any warnings to be quiet before being kicked off, and that they think they were tossed off because they were speaking in a foreign language.
Spirit Airlines is claiming that the group was being too loud and disruptive, and were given a warning over the loudspeaker to quiet down.
The flyers were given a full refund, but missed the event that they were flying to Las Vegas to attend, and are now reportedly seeking legal council.
