Is Member’s Only Club Access the Hot New Hotel Perk?

In Manhattan, a good hotel location is a luxury in itself. A great one—overlooking Bryant Park and the New York Public Library—is rare. That’s precisely what Park Terrace Hotel offers—a central location with quiet green space respite. And now, the boutique property has something else to tempt travelers: complimentary access to Branch, its chic sixth-floor members-only club.

The Park Terrace Hotel

Hotels have long offered club-level floors and business centers, but Branch is in a league of its own—a private, members-only social club for New Yorkers in the know, with complimentary access for Park Terrace guests. Bright, sunlit, and design-forward, Branch blends the functionality of a modern co-working hub with the inviting atmosphere of an exclusive gathering place.
Guests can take video calls in comfort, reserve private meeting rooms, enjoy drinks and snacks from the in-house bar, or simply unwind in peace, making Branch a rare “third space” in a city where you generally have to drop $10 just to get a coffee to hang out somewhere that’s not your hotel room or apartment.
The highlight, though, is Branch’s terrace—a rare gem in New York City. Spanning nearly half of the sixth floor, this outdoor retreat provides shaded spots and lounge furniture perfect for sipping a cocktail at sunset, diving into a good book, chatting with friends, or working with sweeping views of Bryant Park. The ample outdoor space feels like the rooftop of a stylish, well-traveled Manhattanite’s luxury pied-à-terre.
Depending on when you visit, you might attend a photography talk with Sophie Elgort, mingle at a Broadway after-party, sit in on a Fashion Week panel with celebrity stylist Mikaela Erlanger, or browse a luxury resale pop-up from The Real Real as part of Branch’s complimentary programs.
When I stayed at the Park Terrace Hotel for work, Branch proved to be an invaluable amenity. It offered a comfortable, dedicated space outside my room to focus, which was especially helpful since I was sharing the room with my husband, and our meetings often overlapped. While the hotel rooms are thoughtfully designed for productivity—with adjustable-height tables that double as desks—Branch was a nice option when we wanted to get out of the room. And with the weather being gorgeous during our stay, Branch’s terrace became a spot where we could soak in the energy of Manhattan, even while on the clock.
As someone who often works in New York, I know how challenging it can be to find a quiet, comfortable spot after hotel checkout to finish the day’s tasks. Branch solves that problem by providing ample, undisturbed space to work until it’s time to head out.

It can be tough to tear yourself away from the Park Terrace Hotel to enjoy Branch. Rooms are bright, minimalist, and well-equipped—think Nespresso machines, yoga mats, Malin + Goetz bath products, and floor-to-ceiling windows framing park or city views. Small wellness details, like purified water refill stations on every floor (with complimentary water bottles) and a spacious fitness center with Peloton bikes and a sauna, help guests recover in the city that never sleeps. But if you do crave the city’s energy, Times Square, Grand Central, Rockefeller Center, and the Empire State Building are all just a short walk away.
Once inside my room, you’d never guess how lively the location was—the soundproofing was remarkable. My Deluxe Studio King featured floor-to-ceiling windows that actually opened, a rare find in the city. Leaning out, I could hear the hum of traffic and the sounds of summer movies playing in the park below. But the moment I slid the window shut, the room fell completely silent, helping me get a great night’s sleep.
