Isla de La Palma Transportation
Isla de La Palma is a small, but beautiful Canary Island and despite its small size, there is no shortage of scenery including forests, mountains, and volcanoes. Since there is a lot to see, you will want to ensure that you’re well-aware of the transportation in Isla de La Palma.
Taking the Bus
The bus is a good form of transportation to help get you around. While it may not be the quickest way to get around, it is affordable. The cost for bus service is 2 Euros and you have the option to purchase a pre-paid Bonobus ticket which costs 12 Euros or pay as you go. There are some perks that come with the Bonobus ticket such as the 20% discount and more than one person can use it.
This is the best way to get around and get a true experience. Unlike the bus, you have the opportunity to tour and sight-see at your own pace. The estimated cost for four days is well-worth the value when you’re planning an excursion.
Rent a Car
There are various rental companies around such as Avis, Hertz, and other big names. They are mostly located at resort towns and airports, and the cost to rent a car is relatively cheap.
Taking a taxi is another great transportation option. In some instances, you may want to travel to a location that is not accessible by buses. Once you’re taken to your destination, you do not have to worry about how you will get back. You can arrange for the driver to pick you up later.
