IHG Rewards members can make their points go farther when redeeming for award stays at 21 hotels in Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Award nights at the participating hotels can be booked for 50 percent fewer points between April 15 and May 2, for stays between April 29 and June 12.
The list of participating properties includes plenty of Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Expresses, but also three InterContinentals, in Panama City, Cozumel, and Cancun.
A night at the Cozumel InterCon normally requires 40,000 Rewards points, but will be just 20,000 with the discount. At the other end of the price/luxury spectrum, a night at the Holiday Inn Express in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, will be reduced from 5,000 to 2,500 points.
There are, in other words, options at a variety of price points.
