Get a Room for $100 During New York Hotel Week

In the notoriously expensive Big Apple, a standard hotel room at a mid-priced property will likely run you upwards of $300 or $400 a night … for a mid-week stay. If you’re lucky.

If you happen to plan your visit during Hotel Week NYC, however, a standard hotel room at a mid-priced property could be yours for 100 bucks.

From January 3 through 12, about 30 New York hotels are rolling out remarkably low room rates. Prices range from $100 a night to $300 a night for stays at all kinds of hotels, from budget chains to luxury boutique properties. The holidays will be over and it will most likely be kind of cold in New York in January, but these are nevertheless fantastic rates for a low-season sleepover in Manhattan. Book as early as possible for best availability.

Some properties offer better deals than others. The cheapest best available January rate we found at Comfort Inn Times Square South came to $249 per night. During hotel week, this Comfort Inn has rooms for sale from 100 bucks. That’s a better bargain than the discount at NYMA, the New York Manhattan Hotel, which has $100 hotel-week rooms, yet also offers rooms for stays the following weeks from $109.99 plus taxes.

Still, a deal is a deal.
