When Ellie, a baby elephant was found dying after being rejected by his herd in South Africa's Thula Thula Rhino Orphanage. He could barely move and had scratches all over him; he seemed like an injured bird on the ground when I first saw him but there is more that led me to make this decision not only as director of operations at The Elephant Sanctuary Waldorf University , where we specialize care for elephants with injuries or illness--this little guy needed our help! In addition to suffering from dehydration because they are mostly herbivores who live off grasses rather than grains available year round here such has corn syrup etc., which means their bodies lack sufficient minerals.

The sanctuary workers didn't think he would be able to make it on his own, so they fed him and nursed him for many days. Ellie's health finally started improving after all that hard work!

His story began inauspiciously- born with a plethora of ailments which heavily pulled down any chance at survival from those around him; but thanks entirely due diligence by dedicated staff members here at The Laughing Cat Sanctuary (LCS), not only did this little guy survive against insurmountable odds - thrived even.

Ellie the elephant was never meant for life outside his herd. When he regained his health, Ellie still had a depressed and lethargic demeanor with no will to live; even in an environment that seemed like home now - Duma's service dog cabin by workers who tried their best to help this lonely baby find solace after many years away from being part of any group or family unit.

In this precious video, we see how Duma helped Ellie survive against all odds. Her spark for life was ignited in his presence and she has been able to move forward despite her injuries with a newfound sense of hope thanks him by her side!

The most important thing about this story is that it shows what can happen when someone sticks around long enough - You never know until you try.
