Thailand

About

Thailand has long been one of Asia's hottest destinations, and it's no wonder why. With amazing shopping opportunities in chaotic Bangkok, endless adventure in Chiang Mai and its environs, and both party beaches and secluded islands along the Andaman Sea, travelers could spend years in the country without experiencing everything. Thailand attractions often center around its traditions, such as the peaceful temple of Angkor Wat. In the bustling city of Bangkok, more than 400 Buddhist temples can be found within the thoroughly modern metropolis. Flights to Thailand land at several cities around the country, including Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, and Phuket International Airport.

When To Go

Thailand's tropical climate makes it a warm destination year-round. The most popular times to visit are during February through May, which has some of the best weather, and during November through January when tourists come to avoid the cold weather in their own countries. The rainy season (June through October) is less busy in general, but the rain only lasts for two to three hours and the rest of the day remains hot and sunny.

high season: November to May
low season: July to September
shoulder season: June, October
