Luxembourg

When To Go

Luxembourg's weather is mild year-round. However, the most popular time to visit is during the summer when temperatures are at their warmest and people enjoy partaking in outdoor activities. Spring is also a pleasant time to visit, while early autumn is primetime for grape harvesting and December brings Christmas markets. November, January, and February are the least popular times due to dismal weather and limited access to venues.

high season: mid-June to mid--September
low season: January to March, November
shoulder season: April to mid--June, mid-September to October, December

When to Book

In general, Luxembourg has no direct flights to/from the U.S. or Canada, and it can be very difficult to know when to book. However, as for most flights to Europe, it's generally a good idea to book at least six months in advance for travel during the high season. For hotels, B&Bs, villa rentals, and campsites, book at least six months in advance during the high season and three months in advance for the shoulder season. Booking at the last minute is viable for low season travel, but it's best to make reservations at least one week in advance.
