When To Go

Saskatchewan weather varies dramatically by season, with hot highs and very cold lows. The most favorable time to visit is during the warm summer months. Spring and fall also have good weather, as well as favorable conditions for popular activities like fishing. Winter is very cold and snowy.

Due to its large size and small population of one million, crowds are rarely a concern in Saskatchewan.

Though some sites such as fishing camps and campgrounds close over the winter, the majority of places remain open year-round.
