Daytona Beach Travel Guide

Why Visit Daytona Beach

It’s almost impossible to visit Daytona Beach without making a trip to the racetrack, but motor sports are just the beginning of what this city has to offer. The historic Daytona Beach Pier offers stunning views and tons of attractions, there are 23 miles of white sand beaches, and the arts and culture scene is both diverse and thriving.

When to Visit Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach is a mecca for spring breakers looking for sunny weather and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Winter is another popular time to visit Daytona Beach, especially during the famous Daytona 500 in February. To avoid the crowds, consider heading to Daytona Beach in summer or fall, but keep an eye out for hurricanes.

Daytona Beach Weather

There are two main seasons to consider when planning Daytona Beach travel. Summer through early fall in Daytona is wet and warm, with temperatures rarely exceeding the low 90s and tropical breezes bringing in rainstorms. Late fall through spring means cooler, dryer weather with average temperatures rarely dipping below 50 degrees.
