Cincinnati Travel Guide

Why You Should Visit Cincinnati

For such a small city, Cincinnati packs a big sightseeing punch. Your Cincinnati travel itinerary might include grabbing fresh eats at Findlay Market, strolling the galleries in the thriving arts district, catching a bird's-eye view over the river from the Carew Tower observation deck, or bringing the kids to the zoo and aquarium.

When to Visit Cincinnati

Any day is a good day to visit Cincinnati, but three annual events stand out. Come in May for the Taste of Cincinnati, the nation’s longest-running free culinary arts festival. Wrap up summer with Riverfest on Labor Day weekend, featuring entertainment and fireworks. In late September, the city hosts the largest Oktoberfest in the U.S.

The Weather in Cincinnati

Cincinnati offers four distinct seasons, with hot, humid summers and chilly winters. May and June tend to be the wettest months of the year. Warm weather can linger well into September, but by October the weather is cool and crisp, with relatively little rainfall. Visit Cincinnati over the winter months, and you could see some snow.
