Delta Upgrades Airport Lounge Food

In January, when Delta raised the price of annual Sky Club lounge membership by a hefty 54 percent, the airline promised “to invest in improving your experience,” in particular with new food and beverage offerings.

On August 14, Delta will deliver on that promise, with the following new menu of complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner items:

Meal or No Meal?

It would be easy enough to craft a wholly satisfying breakfast from the items on the breakfast menu. No complaints there. But unless you’re a soup-and-salad sort, the lunch and dinner options are likely to leave you craving something more substantial.

Not everyone who pays $450 (non-elite price) for an annual Delta lounge membership wants or expects a full meal to be part of the experience. If soup, salads, and snacks are all you need, the new menu appears more than sufficiently fresh, varied, and tasty. Otherwise, grab a Big Mac on your way to the lounge.
