Blacklane Chauffeur Service Review: The Best-Kept Secret for Stress-Free Airport Rides

For an airport that serves a major city, Boston’s Logan International Airport is surprisingly inconvenient to reach. I live just six miles away, and while it’s only about a 15-minute drive with no traffic, taking public transportation turns the trip into an often-delayed, hour-long journey with at least three transfers between the T and the bus.
Hopping in an Uber or Lyft is typically the fastest and easiest option—except for one major catch: the Massachusetts Port Authority requires rideshare drivers to drop passengers at a remote parking garage. From there, travelers have to haul their luggage through a confusing labyrinth of elevators, moving walkways, and escalators to reach departures.
So when I was offered the chance to try out a more convenient and comfortable way to get to Logan, I jumped at the opportunity. For my most recent flight, I tested out Blacklane, a chauffeur service that eliminates the usual airport hassles and upgrades the whole experience.
How to Book with Blacklane
Booking with Blacklane was easy. I didn’t want to download the app just for one trip, but I was able to book on their website without any problems. There was even an option to add my flight information, allowing the chauffeur to adjust the pickup time as needed in case of delays.
About an hour before my scheduled pickup, I got a message letting me know that my driver was on the way. The driverarrived early, yet he waited outside my front door until a few minutes before my pickup time, when he texted me that he was here. Blacklane offers a complimentary 15-minute waiting window after your pickup time, which was nice, as I was running a bit behind and didn’t have to rush

The Blacklane Experience

Blacklane’s fleet features luxury vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz and Cadillac full-size SUVs, offering ample space for both you and your luggage. If you're traveling with a larger group or have extra bags, you can easily upgrade to a bigger vehicle for an additional fee.
The professionalism of the drivers is also a standout. My chauffeur arrived in a button-down shirt and tie, stepped out to greet me, and handled my luggage with care. The vehicle itself was immaculate: a newer model, spotless inside and out, and clearly well-maintained. The ride was smooth and quiet, with complimentary bottled water adding a thoughtful touch.
The real game-changer came at the end of my ride. Unlike standard rideshares, which are forced to drop passengers off in a remote parking garage at Logan Airport, Blacklane—a licensed chauffeur service—has access to the departures curb. Instead, my driver pulled right up to the curb in front of the terminal entrance, unloaded my bag, and wished me a pleasant flight. There was no stress over what my final bill would be or how much to tip as all taxes, tolls, fees, and gratuities were already included in the rate.
