Best Time to Go to Wales

In addition to its striking greenery and plethora of castles, Wales also boasts some of the most beautiful and untouched beaches in the world. Winters there aren’t unbearably cold, but spring and summer are more favorable — especially if you want to check out those beaches. Because summer is peak tourist season and hotels may be full, spring and fall are the most ideal times to travel.

Wales on a Budget

Although it’s difficult to find inexpensive accommodations in some cities — like Cardiff, for example — travelers can often find more reasonable rates on the outskirts. Or, in summer months, visitors can rent dorm rooms for low rates at local universities. It’s also easy to find inexpensive meals, but you’re better off avoiding areas with a high concentration of tourists, as prices are likely to be higher.
