United Arab Emirates Travel Guide: What to Do in United Arab Emirates

Best Time to Go to United Arab Emirates

The worst of the desert heat strikes the U.A.E. over the summer months, particularly July and August — and it’s often humid to boot. The most pleasant temperatures are between October and April, though you can expect hotel rates to go up this time of year as well. If you’re willing to deal with the heat (and stay inside in the air conditioning), you can snap up good hotel rates over the summer months.

United Arab Emirates on a Budget

The U.A.E. is known for its wealth and decadence, especially in over-the-top Dubai — but that doesn’t mean you need to spend a fortune when you go there. In Dubai, skip the pricey hotel restaurants and dine on a wealth of delicious, affordable ethnic food, courtesy of the city’s large population of migrant workers from around the world. You can find hostels, rooms for rent and budget hotels with a little bit of searching.
