Le Pavillon Hotel
What were the accommodations like? The best in New Orleans! We won’t even go if we can’t stay here. The first time I saw it, I was walking by and went back to go in, because I was so amazed by it. I thought it was one of those places where, if “you have to ask, you can’t afford to stay there.” I was amazed at how affordable it was for the level of service and excellence they provide. Be sure and eat in the dining room, and the lounge is a must — Pamela makes the best hurricanes in New Orleans. The rooftop pool is wonderful and never crowded. The rooms are luxurious, and be sure to take advantage of the turn-down service. You’ll feel like you’re visiting royalty here!

This is well worth the price, but don’t get suckered into buying the glasses — it seems like a great idea at the time, but then you get home and wonder what to do with them! We like to go in the late afternoon and sit beside the fountain. At sunset, they light the fountain — yes, fire and water! It can be romantic or rowdy — whatever you want it to be. We’ve met complete strangers from all over the world here and become friends! You haven’t experienced all there is in New Orleans until you’ve been here.

Cat’s Meow
Get on the webcam right outside the bar, and then go in and sing! All ages have fun, fun, fun here! If you’re going to sing, it helps to have a few drinks first! My girlfriend and I thought we were Leslie Gore and Diana Ross while performing here, until we got home and played the tape we bought — why didn’t someone stop us! Oh well — we’ll never be stars, but we felt like it that night!
