Millionaire Lifestyle Vegas Style

Having been to Vegas 1/2 a dozen times over the last 25 years my stock phrase to doubters was, “some of the best shows and restaurants in the world”. We have just spent 3 days at Caesars Palace on a tour, eating out and about in 1st the Prime, (Bellagio). This place no longer upholds the dress code so the two closest tables contained 2 track suits, trainers, tea shirts, jeans and loud language. On complaining we were advised managers are told to “turn a blind eye” When one is paying on average $220 for a main course and 2 glasses of wine HEY? This was the average cost across the board.

The 2nd was the Union in the new Aria. They had sent an email to me back in the UK cancelling my booking, the day before I was due to eat there. Replacement cost $218 for a main and 1 bottle of plonk. The 3rd was the Eiffel Tower, which was the cheapest at $188.00 for a glass of wine and a main course. Gratuity not included. Overall we spent £1,250 pounds on food and drink, including $6 for every cup of TEA! Breakfast and evening meal only. No show under £75 per head and overall as much as I love it….I feel it’s days are numbered. Taxi drivers claimed they have never known it so quiet. Money is still being spent on lavish decoration so somebody is paying for it and it is certainly not the gambler. The slots have died. Had a ball there in the past and still love it but only from afar. Hotels still beautiful and spacious. Retired ordinary working class traveller.
